Students Say Palmdale Teen Who Committed Suicide Was Bullied Over Love Of Cheerleading

This is one of the hardest things to deal with in today’s world. A lot of people do not understand male cheerleaders, so they tend to be outcast from other males. Truth be told, there isn’t much difference between male cheerleaders and male athletes. It is just a team sport as any other, which requires timing and teamwork. Young women trust their lives to these young men to be held in the air.

Being a male cheerleader, at first I was teased. I started cheerleading my freshman year in college while playing for the university football team. Those guys didn’t understand. Cheerleading has helped me gain admission into a great university, complete my undergraduate degree and helped me gain admission into a graduate school. It can open many doors for males.

PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — Classmates of a 13-year-old Palmdale boy who went missing and later committed suicide said he was teased over his love of cheerleading.

Nigel Hardy disappeared Monday morning after he became upset when he was temporarily suspended from Hillview Middle School after fighting with another student.

Hardy’s father found a suicide note from his son and discovered his gun was missing.

The teen was found dead in Kern County Monday night with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Bright Addo, a student at Hillview Middle, said Hardy was often teased and bullied for being on the A.V. Dynasty All-Stars competitive cheerleading squad.

“He was a cheerleader. And they were talking about him and stuff,” he said. “We should stop bullying people and talking stuff about people.”

Addo added, “He was cool. He was a nice guy. He was funny.”

Dustin Velazquez, Hardy’s cheerleading coach, said…

Yankees’ Robinson Cano denies involvement with Biogenesis after report links associate to clinic

I am sick and tired of these professional athletes using the “innocent until proven guilty” method when it comes to these types of things. If more of them would fess up, or here’s an idea STOP TAKING PEDs, maybe more young athletes would stop hurting themselves.

Being a college athlete I have seen many teammates use types of PEDs. They are not as hardly investigated as hard as some people may think. Harder consequences must be taken on people who are caught violating these policies.

Boston Massacre Part II

A lot of people are talking about the horrific events that happened on Boylston St. The events are horrible, but events like this tend to bring us together as a country. As i was watching Hardball last night, one reporter made a good comment. This is not an event that we have no experienced before. With the events on 9/11, we as a society are able to handle events like this a little better, as tragic as they may be.

Another article I read on Barstool Sport: Boston (http://boston.barstoolsports.com/random-thoughts/a-quick-word-about-stoolie-donations-for-victims/) made a lot of sense. The small company is Boston based with a young reader demographic, between ages 18-40. The writer made the point that he wanted to make a relief donation from the company to a relief fund, but it was too early in the chaos to decide properly where the money should go. He said that it was too early to tell what organization would give the most money and wanted to give the donations to the proper one that would give the victims all the money. He points out that some relief efforts at times sound sketchy.

This is truly a tragedy  Never in my life would I thought I would experience two horrible acts of terror on our country, but I do think we are strong enough to prevail.

American Jihadis Or Anti-Government Extremists ? … The List Of Suspects Shortens

Seeing the devastation in Boston really hits me hard, because I had family running in the race. Thankfully, no one was harmed. It does make me wonder why people continue to do more and more horrible things to out great nation. Are the policies we impose on our countries that horrible? I mean the Sons of Liberty threw 340 chests of tea into the Boston harbor because they did not like the policies of King George III. Is that what these people are doing? trying to keep their liberties? When a life is taken, a line is crossed. Merica

Boston Marathon Attack: Circle Of Possible Bombers Narrows, Experts Say

” Details emerging from the Boston Marathon bombing so far suggest that the perpetrators are most likely to be identified as American jihadis or, possibly but less likely, antigovernment extremists, say counterterrorism experts.

Investigators have not offered any information about potential suspects and are still seeking tips and video from the public. Yet several experts who follow radical groups inside the US say the timing of the attack, the choice of weapon, the target, and the venue are all suggestive. Those things together are beginning to triangulate toward a small set of possible perpetrators, and, as is often the case, the weapon is key.

Two common pressure cookers packed with nails, ball bearings, and explosives were each rigged to a timer and used as a bomb, the FBI confirmed Tuesday. The two bombs exploded a block from each…
